Running Ultima VII: The Black Gate/Serpent Isle in Windows XP / Windows Vista / Windows 7 Using DOSBox by Ganesh (26 KB)

Exult - Ultima VII Game Engine (Ext. Link)

This free source program runs Ultima VII beautifully in modern operating systems. However, do note that this program still has some bugs as of v1.2, and is personally recommended to try using the above guide to play in DOS.

Exult PSP - Ultima VII Game Engine (Ext. Link)

As the title says, play Ultima VII in PSP. There are some game stopping bugs though, so do read the readme file.

DOSBox - MS-DOS emulation (Ext. Link)

The best and my personally preferred way. This project is specially done to cater for those DOS games that can't be run in modern operating systems. EMS/UMB must be disabled to use this.

Type "MixerSet FM +350" in the console for better volume balance. Also use Sound Blaster as the Sound Blaster Pro in Install.Exe caused graphical glitches on mine. I would say it is 95% compatible, with minor graphical glitches. See the guide for more help.
