General

1) Selecting DGP Zone

Bedok zone will be shown by default when the page has finished loading.

To change DGP zone, select a different DGP zone from one of the links below the map.

2)Panning Map

When the mouse moves over the map, an open hand cursor will appear.

  1. Click and hold on the map. The mouse cursor will now change to a closed hand cursor.
  2. While holding, drag the map to show the area you wish to view.
  3. Release the mouse button.
  4. The map will show the new location in the direction you have panned.
  5. Continue the above steps to reach your desired location.

Alternatively,

  1. Click on one of the four directional arrows on the top left hand corner of the map to pan it.

Or,

  1. Click and drag the displayed area on the small square at the bottom-right hand corner of the map (mini-map) for fast panning.

3) Zooming In / Out of the Map

When the page has finished loading, the maximum zoom is shown by default.

  1. To zoom out, click on the "-" icon on the left of the map.
  2. To zoom in, click on the "+" icon on the left of the map.

Alternatively,

  1. Click and drag the slider to the desired zoom level and release.

4) Viewing More Map Markers At Once

Map markers will only be shown when the map is at maximum zoom when the page is loaded by default.

To view more map markers at once when you zoom out the map,

  1. Select the minimum zoom level from the "Minimum Zoom Level" drop down menu.
  2. Level 17 refers to the most zoomed in state, level 1 is the most zoomed out state.
  3. The map markers will now be shown from the selected minimum zoom level onwards.

Note: Setting smaller values will decrease system performance.

Polygons

By default, the polygon selection tool is selected.
If it is not, click on the "Draw polygon selection" button to activate it.

1) Drawing Polygon

  1. Place the points of the polygon you want to create on the map.
    At least 3 points are necessary to form a polygon.
  2. Click near the first point to complete the polygon selection.
  3. A polygon will be formed and the selected area turned orange in colour.
  4. The polygon points can be moved by clicking and dragging them, both before or after the polygon selection is completed.

2) Removing Polygon Points

  1. At any point, you will be able to select the "Remove last point" link to remove the last point of the polygon you have created.
  2. The last point will be removed.

3) Removing Polygon

  1. If you wish to reset / remove the polygon after it was created, please select the "Reset" link.
  2. The polygon created will be removed.

Map Markers

Select the "Place map marker" button if it is not selected.

1) Adding New Temporary Map Marker

  1. Click on the point you would like to place the map marker.
  2. A temporary map marker is created.
    However, the new map marker is not saved yet.

2) Moving Temporary Map Marker Position

  1. Click on the map marker you wish to move.
  2. Hold and drag it to the new location.
  3. The temporary map marker will be moved to the new location.
    However, the new map marker is not saved yet.

3) Adding Details to Temporary Map Marker

  1. Click on the temporary map marker.
  2. A dialog box will be shown on the map.
  3. Enter the name and select the type from the respective fields.
  4. Select the "Save & Close" button to save the details of the marker.

4) Deleting Temporary Map Marker

  1. Click on the temporary map marker.
  2. A dialog box will be shown on the map.
  3. Select the "Remove" button to delete the marker.
